From Hiking Trails to Scenic Lookouts

Rugged gray mountain peaks rise above dense dark-green evergreen forest, their steep ridges and layered rock formations sharply defined in bright sunlight. Puffy white clouds drift across a vivid blue sky, while shadows near the lower slopes add contrast and depth to the expansive Canadian Rockies landscape.

For my next batch of contributions, I am still committed to sharing photographs from my trip to Canada. This time, I selected a few pictures from my hike around Grassi Lakes in Canmore, along with some of the incredible mountain views we found while driving toward Banff.

One thing that surprised me was how many places along the road were designed specifically for stopping and enjoying the scenery. Some even had signs with a small camera symbol marking a lookout spot. It was the first time I had seen something like that, and honestly, it makes perfect sense when the landscape keeps demanding that you pull over and take another photo.

This batch also includes a couple of city pictures that I had kept as backup options in case more photos from my previous contribution were rejected. Thankfully, I did not need all of them at the time, but it would have been a waste to leave them sitting forgotten in my camera roll.

So this collection is a bit of everything: hiking trails, mountain views, roadside stops, and a few city scenes that finally got their turn. Another five photos shared, and still plenty more Canada memories waiting in line.
