After spending a very long time sitting quietly in my phone’s photo gallery, some of my Canadian photographs finally have a purpose! For my first contribution to WordPress, I selected a small collection of images from my trips and submitted them to the WordPress Photo Directory.
This first batch included a mix of nature and city photography. I shared landscapes, wildlife, urban scenes, and a few everyday moments that caught my attention while exploring Canada. Rather than committing immediately to one specific style, I wanted to test the waters and see which types of photographs worked best for the directory.
Preparing the images also helped me learn more about the contribution process, including selecting suitable photographs, converting file formats, writing clear descriptions, and making sure each image followed the submission guidelines. Unsurprisingly, the photos were the easy part. Organizing them was the real adventure.
This is only the beginning of my photography contributions. I still have plenty of Canadian pictures waiting patiently on my phone, so future posts will document the next batches and what I learn along the way.
